So this week I saw/heard a couple of flights of a Piaggio, those engines are unmistakeable. Crazy loud.

Love this plane, props to whomever’s flying it a bunch.

I’ve been building a bunch of stuff. My daughter’s suddenly interested in Lego again, and coincidentally it was my stupid birthday and the Lego Lunar Lander landed in my lap, so I had to build it, and it’s pretty fucking rad. I’m also taking care of my hero dog, this week. He’s the caringest direwolf ever.

Nothing better than having a giant caring dog.

So. Apparently Adobe has completely changed camera raw stuff. That’s new. Anyone else been dealing with that?

I have installed the private aircraft show a few times and one of those Piaggio planes is at the San Jose Airport. I did that show twice and it was always parked down from where we were.

Loving this image, you could use it for subtly advertising that speaker. Add a clever Copy on the left about how calming and clean the sound is and boom, Bob’s your uncle.

I noticed some updates to Adobe recently but I’m not using Camera Raw so no idea about that.

Maybe, it says Elon has a G650 jet. The Piaggio has been based there for at least three years.

Im on a bridge for work and clicked over here cause were at an impasse and there are nice pictures! Thats a dignified looking dog you have there very well photographed.

Also, used to be aviation adjacent in a former life and those Piaggo’s were always cool to see.

Life since Covid, especially living on the flightpaths for AUS, has been interesting.

It’s been so quiet. The Southwest cowboys haven’t been plowing in every 5 minutes. The new big bois, the 74/8/7s haven’t been flying in from overseas.

When screaming loud props fly over a couple times in one week, it’s... noticeable.

And I’ve never seen so many private jets coming and going. I used to assume that most of the gulfstreams, lears, and cessnajets that came in were Dell-related. Before the Covid, they mostly ran very different approaches if they flew into AUS.

Now things are very different. Most of the air traffic is private.

It’s super weird.

I saw private planes flying into the wine country when I was kayaking. I also saw a 747 coming in from the pacific last month. I read they were loading them full of cargo then.

2018-2019 we had 747s and 787s about 3x/week into AUS. Most of the air traffic now is private stuff. I live under the lines for the finals— it’s really weird, these days.
